General Information

Contestants must participate in the Quiz Competition. Failure to take part in the Quiz Competition, even if you win in other competitions, will result in disqualification from winning the overall contest. In such case, the next contestant who participated in the Quiz Competition will be awarded the prize.

Quiz Competition

  • Category 1: Grade 1& 2
  • Category 2: Grade 3 & 4
  • Category 3: Grade 5-6
  • Category 4: Grade 7-8
  • Category 5: Grade 9 & 10

Preliminary Round: November 2nd at Berkmar High School at 9 AM. Further details will be shared with the contestants.

Final Round: Immediately following the Preliminary Round at Berkmar High School on November 2nd

October 12th – Masjid Al Farooq

Qira’at Competition

The Qira’at Competition will be held on October 12th at Masjid Al Farooq. Winners will be announced on November 2nd at Berkmar High School. Memorization of the Surahs is not required for the non-Hifz category. Students who have memorized more than 5 Juzz fall under the Hifz category.

October 19th – Masjid Al Farooq

Azan Competition

  • Category 1: Pre-K/Kindergarten/Grade 1& 2
  • Category 2: Grade 3 & 4
  • Category 3: Grade 5-7
  • Category 4: Grade 8-11

The Azan Competition will be held on October 19th at Masjid Al Farooq. Winners will be announced on November 2nd at Berkmar High School. Participants must recite the full Azan with proper tone and Tajweed. The duration of the Azan should not exceed 3 minutes

October 12th/19th – Masjid Al Farooq

Caligraphy Competition

  • Category 1: Grade 1-4
  • Category 2: Grade 5-7
  • Category 3: Grade 8-11

This contest is open to all contestants aged 9-16. It will take place on October 12th and 19th at Masjid Al Farooq. Contestants may choose to participate on either of these dates. Please view the syllabus to see the phrase that contestants are required to draw: Syllabus

Contestants will have 45 minutes to complete their artwork. Calligraphy must be done freehand. High-quality paper will be provided for the artwork, with a size of 14″ x 22″ (36 cm x 56 cm). Contestants are REQUIRED to bring their own drawing instruments. Acceptable materials include markers, pencils (colored or black), crayons, watercolors, and oil colors. Stencils, carbon paper, and other copying materials are not allowed. Copying from any reference during the competition is prohibited. Contestants may use any style of calligraphy, including their own. The calligraphy will be judged based on beauty, originality, and legibility
